Runs With Ball Down Left
Meaning: The player will look to run down the left side of the pitch with the ball.
Positives: The player can carry the ball forwards, reducing the pressure on defence.
Negatives: If the player chooses to run with the ball when a pass would have been more beneficial.
Attributes Required: Dribbling, technique, balance, agility.
Best Suited Positions: Wide players. Ideally wingers, but also consider teaching it to your wingbacks.

Runs With Ball Through Centre
Meaning: The player will run through the middle of the pitch with the ball.
Positives: The player can carry the ball forwards, reducing the pressure on defence.
Negatives: If the player chooses to run with the ball when a pass would have been more beneficial. The centre of the pitch is far more congested than the flanks, thus, increasing the liklihood of the player being tackled.
Attributes Required: Dribbling, technique, balance, agility.
Best Suited Positions: Central players. A striker who can run with the ball at his feet can be a potent weapon.

Runs With Ball Down Right
Meaning: The player will look to run down the right side of the pitch with the ball.
Positives: The player can carry the ball forwards, reducing the pressure on defence.
Negatives: If the player chooses to run with the ball when a pass would have been more beneficial.
Attributes Required: Dribbling, technique, balance, agility.
Best Suited Positions: Wide players. Ideally wingers, but also consider teaching it to your wingbacks.

Moves Into Channels
Meaning: The ability to drift from a central position towards the touchline, level with the edge of the penalty areas.
Positives: The attacking player will often find themselves in the space between centreback and fullback, unmarked.
Negatives: N/A
Attributes Required: Off the ball, decisions, positioning
Best Suited Position: Strikers.

Gets Forward Whenever Possible
Meaning: The player will look to get into attacking positions whenever the opportunity arises.
Positives: Extra players in attack.
Negatives: Too many players forward will leave gaps in defence.
Attributes Required: Off the ball, concentration, decisions, finishing, composure.
Best Suited Position: Attacking players. Goalscoring central midfielders will be very dangerous with this PPM.

Likes To Try To Break Offside Trap
Meaning: The player will look to play off the shoulder of the last defender and run clean through on goal.
Positives: When executed, it allows the player a free run on goal.
Negatives: It leads to one-dimentional play. If the opposition defends deep, the PPM is much less useful.
Attributes Required: Acceleration, pace, composure, off the ball, decisions, anticipation.
Best Suited Position: Striker.

Comes Deep To Get Ball
Meaning: The player will move closer towards his own goal to collect the ball, trying to make something happen
Positives: Allows creative players to drop deep relative to their position to collect the ball and influence play
Negatives: Can drag a player out of position if you play a rigid formation
Attributes Required: Creativity, Passing, Technique, Anticipation
Best Suited Positions: Creative central midfielders or strikers you want to drop off

Plays One-Twos
Meaning: When in possession of the ball, the player will try a ‘give and go’ move with a nearby team mate to try and advance the ball up the pitch
Positives: Creates space and can negate the presence of an opposition player
Negatives: Can result in a loss of possession by either player, depends on the other player to reciprocate
Attributes Required: Passing, Decisions, Anticipation, First Touch
Best Suited Positions: Central Midfielders, Wingers, Attacking Midfielders

Knocks Ball Past Opponent
Meaning: When in possession of the ball, the player will look to play the ball into space beyond an opposition player before running to try and retrieve it
Positives: Can create space and opportunities for crossing the ball different to facing up to the opposition
Negatives: Can result in a loss of possession
Attributes Required: Decisions, Pace, Acceleration, First Touch
Best Suited Positions: Wingers, Full Backs, Attacking Midfielders

Cuts Inside
Meaning: When in possession of the ball the player will look to come into the central area of the pitch
Positives: Changes players position from wide to moving more narrow, allowing inter play around the box
Negatives: Cancels width and can be different to team instructions/style of play
Attributes Required: Passing, Anticipation, Decisions
Best Suited Positions: Wingers, Wide Strikers

Runs With Ball Often
Meaning: A player with this PPM will be more likely to put his head down and run with the ball instead of looking to pass it
Positives: Excellent for flying wingers or full backs
Negatives: One dimensional and may not fit in with team instruction
Attributes Required: Dribbling, Pace, Acceleration, Stamina
Best Suited Positions: Wingers, Full Backs
